Microblading is exactly what you need to get some perfectly looking strokes that appear most natural whether from a distance or close up. Microblading is the latest trend of filling out brows and reshaping them by depositing thin lines of pigment that resemble separate hair strands.

You’re probably likening microblading to permanently tattooed cosmetic eyebrows, but these are completely different things. Microblading delivers a natural appearance and it is by no means scary like the granny’s blue arch eyebrows that result from permanently tattooed eyebrows. Microblading is done manually through a hand-held device with many sharp needles at the end that are used to strike the skin and deposit pigment. Microblading is so super-fine that it is also referred to as brow embroidery, 3D eyebrows, microstroking and micropigmentation among other terms.

Unlike permanent cosmetic tattooing, microblading is less painful because it isn’t as deep. The appropriate depth for implanting pigmentation in microblading is the epidermis or upper skin layer. When micro pigmentation is too deep, it results in a scratchy appearance and the final results aren’t crispy.

On the other hand, if it is not done deep enough, color won’t be retained long enough. Another advantage of microblading is that it is semi-permanent and lasts for up to two years, which means that you are not signing a lifetime commitment and that it won’t leave some unnatural shades commonly experienced with the application of permanent cosmetic brow tattoos. However, regular retouch is highly recommended to maintain beautiful and perfectly natural looking hair strokes.

Microneedling or non-invasive face-lifting is a zero-downtime treatment and has certain advantages over lasers and chemical peels. It can safely be performed on all skin types, including thin and sensitive skin, and there is less risk of hyperpigmentation and scarring compared to lasers.

In addition, microneedling is very cost-effective and can be used on delicate areas, like eyes, that chemical peels are unable to treat. I can target specific concerns without creating a line of demarcation that might happen with laser treatments.

The skin will begin to appear tighter, plumper, and refreshed within one-to-four weeks after microneedling. It can take up to two months to see the full effects of treatment.

3-5 sessions are ideal, and frequency can range from 3-6 weeks depending on the type of device and needle depth used.
